Posted by Chaitanya Shahare on Wed, Oct 2, 2024

I made quite a bit of progress during this week. The development version of the new llvm website is live at www-new.llvm.org.

Progress

  • Deploy the website
  • Fix the table of contents bug using the other hugo themes
  • Documentation for creating new pages in the website
  • Make the footer configurable
  • Create new website for clang for demonstration of usability
  • Make logo configurable
  • Figure out how to make the site home page configurable
  • Add some content to the clang website
  • Share the clang website testing url with Tanya & Vassil & ask if that’s what they wanted?
  • Work towards other things based on the feedback
  • Make some changes to the www-new to have it redeployed
  • Respond on the RFC with the live link

Next Steps

  • Documentation
    • Creating a new website
    • Creating a new page
    • Creating a new shortcode (UI component using data files)
  • Add content and pages to the entire website.

Conclusion

As the Google Summer of Code is coming to an end & with me having left with just 3 more weeks more or less to complete the project. I am excited to see the final website and how it will look. I am also excited to see how the community will react to the new website once it is hosted on the llvm.org.
